It’s pretty tough growing up around mental illness. Kids need to meet other kids who are living with mental illness in their families and have an understanding of what they have gone though.
Peer development between children is an intrinsic and integral part of the fameKids program. FAME encourages and facilitates friendships by bringing fameKids together for social outings. Kids have the opportunity to participate in the fameKids Annual Summer Social and the Annual Holiday Winter Social. Sometimes just getting to be a kid is a good thing!
