FAME believes in the importance of a continuum of care and the fameKids squared program is an extension of this belief. Children that have completed the fameKids program are able to access support after the group has ended if they feel that this is needed. Upon completion of the program, children are able to access one to one support or can take part in the fameKids program again if clarification, reinforcement, or additional support is needed.
As well, these children can have the option of becoming peer mentors by sharing their experiences with other children who are taking part in the program through appearances/talks, testimonials on the website, and/or through artwork. By providing children with the tools to share their experiences with others, we empower them to become advocates for mental health and support them in their journey of healing.
