They are a highly qualified, empathetic, experienced, insightful and supportive team that truly care about each and every family member who reaches out for help. Christine Cooper
Executive Director
Christine has been working in the mental health & community based service sector for almost two decades and has been the E.D. at FAME for the past six years. Prior to that Christine worked at the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario as a Regional Coordinator.
Nicole Levy
fameKids & Youth Outreach Coordinator – Toronto
Nicole is an Art Therapist with a Master’s level studies in Art Therapy from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute and an honours doubles major in Psychology and Visual Arts. Nicole joins us from the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario where she has had experience in working with children and with group facilitation.
Gilda Capraro
fameKids & Youth Outreach Coordinator – Peel
Gilda Capraro is the newest addition to FAME, as thePeel fameKids & Youth Outreach Facilitator in the Region of Peel. Gilda holds a Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor, and undergraduate degrees from York University. Gilda has worked in a variety of settings and with a diversity of groups during her 18 years as a social worker. In the last 10 years, her primary focus has been in direct practice with youth populations and their families, in addition to program coordination and workshop development with at-risk youth in Peel Region.
Mary Jursinic
Family Outreach Worker, Etobicoke & North York
Mary has an undergraduate degree with majors in psychology and sociology. She has worked in mental health supporting individuals with mental health issues and their family members.
Mary has been at FAME for 10 years as the Etobicoke and North York Family Outreach Worker, and provides 1-1 support, support groups and coordinates the Etobicoke Educational meetings and a family educational series in partnership with North York General Hospital.
Frank Logue, B.S.W.
Family Outreach Worker, Brampton
Frank received a Bachelor of Social Work in 1987. He has worked in several areas of social services including: Child Welfare, seniors housing, street involved youth and mental health. His last 10 years of work has been in the mental health field and he has been running the Brampton FAME office since 2006 and facilitates support groups in Brampton and Bolton.
Paul O’Donnell
Dual Diagnosis & Family Outreach Worker, Scarborough
Paul O’Donnell has been working at FAME for the past five years and is located in the Scarborough office. He is also responsible for the Dual Diagnosis Family Support program. Paul is a graduate of the Ryerson School of Social Work and also received a Masters Degree from the University of Windsor.
Stephanie Kerr
Family Outreach Worker, Mississauga
Stephanie has been with FAME just over a year and is the Family Outreach Worker located in the Mississauga Community Door location. Stephanie has a Bachelor of Psychology with a focus on Family Studies and in addition to that Stephanie recently received a diploma for Counseling Certification.
Diana Handal
Administration Support
Diana is Humber College graduate with a 3 year diploma in Accounting & Business. Diana brings great organizational & bookkeeping skills, with excellent knowledge in all the accounting issues. Her veteran accounting experience has been a great asset for FAME.
